Steam distillation is used to obtain Veda5 Basil Essential Oil from Basil leaves. Ingredients cultivated in India that are pure and natural. Vegan. Cruelty-free. Made with two decades of experience. Essential oils should never be used undiluted and should always be mixed with a Carrier Oil.Our Sweet Basil essential oil has a strong green, anise-like scent; it is utilized in natural perfumery for its distinct sweet herbaceous flavor and delicate balsamic undertone. Linalool is the most abundant chemical component in this Basil species, lending a cold, soft woody quality to the oil. A far lower amount of methyl chavicol (called estragol) is also present, which is responsible for the slight anise-like scent.
